01 / WHAT IT DOES
Beyond two-way control of the body, the level and composition grids are one tap away — you keep the whole picture without touching the camera. With the tripod in a corner, up high or directly above a table, that is where it matters most. Preview a crop right on live view and apply it on the spot; once you have it, there is no going back.
A symmetric bracket centred on your current shutter speed: 3, 5, 7 or 9 frames, 0.3 to 3 EV apart, and the whole set can be shifted brighter or darker by up to ±4 EV. When you need more speed, switch to the body's own bracketing and let its burst mode run the sequence flat out.
Pick any frames yourself and merge them into an HDR, or do bracket + merge with a single tap — and confirm the details of the scene with the client while you are still on site.
Shoot while RAW files are sent to your computer in the background, straight into Lightroom Classic or Capture One; single or multiple RAW files can also be exported to other apps, so you work the way you want.
Exposure, contrast, highlights, shadows, temperature, tint, vibrance and sharpness; crop, straighten, aspect ratios and 90° rotation; and the part that takes the most time in interiors and architecture — guided perspective correction that pulls the walls and floor back to true. Once one frame is right, the same settings can be copied across every frame from that camera position. Every edit is non-destructive and can be reverted at any time.
Frames are saved to the iPad as you shoot; if the camera disconnects or goes offline, browsing and post-production carry on as before. Your picks can also be exported as search text for Lightroom or Capture One — paste it back at the computer and the starred frames are right there.
02 / THE IDEA
Interior and architectural work is usually followed by a long stretch of retouching. Brizmo doesn't set out to see that all the way through — for an iPad, that's still too heavy. What it does instead: the moment the shutter fires, you and the client both know exactly what you got, without guessing.
Brizmo lets the work at the shoot finish at the shoot.
03 / WHO IT'S FOR
Interior design and architecture, show flats and commercial spaces, product and still life — the camera stays put while you move around and work the scene up close. That's the way of working Brizmo is built for, and it doesn't assume you'll be within arm's reach of the body.
04 / REQUIREMENTS
Individual features can vary by body. The camera page separates Canon's connection support from the models Brizmo has tested in person.
05 / STATUS
Brizmo is in closed testing on TestFlight and is not yet on the App Store. It is built and maintained by one person, alongside working as a photographer — which is also why it only claims what has actually been shot with it.
